Blaqkout Live

Blaqkout

It’s Friday, you ain’t got no job, you ain’t got shit to do!

-Smokey, Friday (1995)

So once again, Word Press is being a damn pain ’cause I’m having trouble embedding Vimeo videos. I couldn’t go without at least linking you to some quality footage my Left coast homie Ben from Always Hustle shot last night.

Cali pioneers DJ Quik and Kurupt rocked the stage at San Fran’s Ruby Skye to promote their new collab album Blaqkout, which dropped this past Tuesday. Funny thing, I saw Ben Tweeting about being at the show right as I was listening to the LP. After the first listen, it’s daaaamn good.

Peep the links to performances of “Let’s Get High” (hence the Friday quote) and “9 Times Out Of 10” plus a bonus video of Dwayne Wiggens doing “Anniversary” after the jump. You’ll also get the opportunity to scoop up the album at Amazon for those that want to support their hustle.

Once again, sorry for the video embed FAIL. Enjoy!
