Goodwill Hunting (RZA 94)

Theo x $port

Got another exclusive today, this one comes from the duo comprised of rapper Theo Martins and producer $port – collectively dubbed Chris Connery – called “Goodwill Hunting.”

For those paying attention, when I interviewed $port back in July, we discussed his upcoming project with Rhode Island MC Martins entitled You Can’t Do That On Television:

I keep likening it to a Gangstarr 2K9. And with Theo, he’s so clean-cut.  He doesn’t drink, doesn’t smoke and he hardly ever curses.  But when he goes in that booth, he turns into a MONSTER.So I’m extremely amped to see where he takes it lyrically.  I’ve been in a really good space with the latest round of beats.  I know it’s gonna be special.

Since then it’s been pushed back from its original release date of August, so stay tuned for more info. Here’s a taste of what to expect from the album.

Shout to the man himself, Enjoy!

Happy Birthday John Coltrane

The most influential jazz saxophonist would have been 83 years old today.

I’ll be celebrating today by playing my Coltrane collection, I suggest you do too. Here’s one of his most well-known and heartfelt tunes, “Naima” from the 1960 album Giant Steps.
